What Modu is and core concepts.
What is Modu?
Modu is a feedback collection platform. You create boards that contain modules. Visitors interact with your modules to vote, rate, or submit suggestions.
Core Concepts
Workspace — Your account. Has a subdomain (e.g., acme.modu.io) and contains all your boards, team members, and settings.
Board — A container for modules. Each board has its own URL, access settings, and can require password or SSO authentication.
Module — A feedback component. There are six types:
- Single/Multiple Choice — Traditional polls where users pick from predefined options
- Rating — Numeric scales (1-5) for satisfaction scores and NPS
- Suggestions — Public idea boards where users submit ideas and vote on each other's suggestions. Great for feature requests and roadmaps.
- Text — Private forms for collecting open-ended responses. Only admins see submissions. Great for surveys, bug reports, and feedback forms.
- Roadmap — Display your product roadmap with items organized by status: Backlog, Planned, In Progress, and Shipped.
- Changelog — Share release notes and product updates with optional cover images and YouTube embeds.
